Saturday May 11, 9am-6pm- Crop Mob at Red Barn Gardens, Crossville TN
Join us for a productive day of farming and fun. We’ll spend the day helping farmer Dave get beds ready, plant some seeds and pull some weeds. Crop mobs are a fun, social event that connects us to each other and to our local growers while giving us the opportunity to pitch in and learn something about how food is grown. We’ll meet at Three Rivers Co-op on Central and Baxter Avenues in Knoxville to carpool, 9 am. We’ll likely get back to Knoxville around 6 pm.

Bring with you: something to contribute to our potluck lunch (Dave will have his griller/smoker ready), sun protection (hat, long sleeves, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc), water bottle, sensible clothing and shoes.

Sunday May 19, 6pm-8pm- Potluck at 501 Arthur
The farmers markets will be open soon and we’ll have a plethora of fresh local greens and other spring veggies to eat. Bring a friend and join us for a spring potluck! Our guest speaker will be Dave Thomasson. You may know Dave as the Owner and Founder Hoot Owl Hollow Organic Blueberries and Produce and Farm-to-Griddle Crepes. Dave will speak on the Chefs Collaborative that he recently started in Knoxville. The collaborative is a nonprofit network of chefs that seeks to change the sustainable food landscape using the power of connections, education and responsible buying decisions. More information can be found at: http://chefscollaborative.org/

As always, if you don’t have time to bring a dish, bring $5 to donate. And remember to bring your own place setting and beverage of choice.
